Our Story
A personal note from the founder of Daddy Enterprises
My pain created a beautiful gift.
I'll never forget the night I thought I was going to die.
I'd lost so much blood that when I tried to get out of my hospital bed, I collapsed. I hit the floor head-first. I remember drifting in and out of consciousness, with a doctor shining a light into my eyes. And I genuinely thought, this is it.
But the strange thing is, in that moment, I wasn't thinking about money, work, or anything I owned. There were only two things on my mind: God and my son. I just wanted to see my little boy again. That's all I wanted.
To understand how I ended up there, I need to take you back to where it all started.
Before 2020, I'd always been fit. I trained, looked after myself, and never really worried about my health. Then I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, and my life completely changed. For the next five years, I was in and out of hospital, trying different medications, receiving blood transfusions, and dealing with constant flare-ups.
Eventually, I needed surgery. I went through two major operations, and the first left me with a temporary stoma. Recovery was tough. Later, I had to make another decision: try to have it reversed, or make the stoma permanent.
I'd spent five years fighting my own body, and I'd just had enough. I didn't want to keep fighting. I wanted my life back. So I chose the permanent stoma. And today, I'm here. I'm healthy. And I've got my life back.
Going through all of that changed how I looked at things. I started paying more attention to what I was eating. What was actually in it? Where did it come from? Why did it need so many ingredients? Then I started asking the same questions about what I was putting on my skin.
I'd suffered with eczema around my neck for years, and my son had experienced it too. So I started experimenting with my own skincare formula — something simple enough that I knew exactly what we were putting on our skin. That's when I thought, maybe there's actually something here.
That's when I became obsessed with getting it right. I kept changing the formula. Too oily? Change it. Too thick? Change it. Didn't absorb properly? Try again. If I was going to make something that other people were putting on their skin, I wanted to know I'd done everything I could to get it right. Good enough wasn't good enough.
Eventually, I came back to three core ingredients: grass-fed halal beef tallow made from suet, cold-pressed extra virgin Spanish olive oil, and raw British honey. Three ingredients, each there for a reason.
I took the same approach with the scents, Ocean Suede and Vanilla Reef. I spent months working on them because I wanted them to feel just as considered as the cream itself. I kept giving samples to people and asking what they genuinely thought. Eventually, people started asking for more. That's when I realised this could actually become something.
And that's how Daddy Enterprises came about. But for me, it's about more than skincare. When you've genuinely thought you might never see your child again, it changes what matters to you.
Doctors, medicine and surgery are a huge part of why I'm still here. But those five years taught me to pay attention: to question what we're putting into our bodies and what we're putting on them, to care about where things come from, and to never just settle for good enough.
I spent five years just wanting my life back. And now that I've got it, I want to use it for something.
This isn't the end of my story. It's the reason I'm starting a new one.
